Well expressed as usual. As an ordinary Canadian not aware of Mr. Lewis' connections--not nearly political enough, for most of my life before 2020--the base information provided about that is useful, and the content of his vision and plans for our future are clearly a muddle of destructive socialist nonsense that I'm sure the Carney government will be happy to exploit if he is given the leadership of his party.

"A Trump proof economy" is a nationalized economy - that is what I hear.

You know what they call nationalist - socialists? Well, let us just say that they ruined Europe in the 1930s to 1940s.

This is all very well written and to the point; but few people are going to vote for Mr. Lewis or his party in the near future anyway.

Thank you, Ian. My point is not that they're going ro win. My point is that in a tight election, they may hold the balance of power.

I am optimistic about vote splitting on the left.

They voted for this BS in New York City.

SImply put, if the Canadian electorate decided the ndp was the best option for the country, I'd have to leave. Leaving would be very disruptive, my wife would hate it and I'd be leaving my kids and extended family behind, so I really, really hope it never happens.

"This endless expansion of services is also an endless expansion of employment for public service unions. The more the state leviathan grows, the less there will be room for individual autonomy and social freedoms. Such a vision of Canada deserves careful examination."

This is the very reason Alberta and the Rest of the West need to leave and form their own country. We've been plundered far longer than we should have taken.

Ottawa waxes loud about becoming more integrated with the great Pacific community. Having another country separating them from the Pacific by 1 to 2 thousand kilometres eclipses that dream.

Trump proof = no canada.

Clearly the NDP will seek to capitalize on Canada's woke mind and Trump Derangement Syndrome. Elbownians who are further left than Komrade Karney will lap it up.

Will the Conservative Party cowboy up and denounce this anti-American sentiment? Sadly, I don't think so.

The source article is well done and informative. The point by you about the NDP big picture, the woke mind !, the total ruination of BC by unchecked NDP policies. That is the real agenda that needs to be examined. BC policies at a federal level, even as a support mechanism, is a reality that must not manifest. It is bad enough in it's current form ! Good thing Trudeau and Singh did not accomplish more of that agenda !

A new emperor in new clothes that would make JT the old emperor blush.

The scary thing is not Lewis, it’s that his party has been eclipsed in this thinking by our governing party. Every vote bought and paid for.

And people wonder why there are rumblings in Alberta.🙄
