Words Don't Beget Attitudes; Economic Context Does

Blast from the Past: This is a piece that I wrote in July of 2016, nearly 8 years ago, for a small outfit. As old as it is, it is unlikely that you have seen it before. Given that Justin Trudeau has singled out the Atlantic region for more subsidies from Ottawa in exchange for electoral support, I thought I would remind all my dear friends in Atlantic Canada that banning words solves nothing and that subsidies are enslaving.
