The Freedom Convoy protest in early 2022 was a significant development in Canada’s reaction to the supposedly well-meaning but oppressive COVID-19 regime. The protest inspired millions in Canada and abroad. Independent journalist Donna Laframboise has set out to capture the stories and experiences of ordinary Canadians who participated in the protest. Given the false "official" narrative to vilify the protesters, preserving the stories and experiences of the participants in their own voices is a crucial endeavour to understand correctly what took place and why. Present and future Canadians will benefit from Laframboise’s courage to bear witness.
