Reason Impaired

A Conversation with Dr. Normand Mousseau
2

Normand Mousseau is a Professor of Physics at l’Universite de Montreal and the author of Pandemie: Quand la raison tombe malade (Pandemic: When Reason Fall Ill), published in 2020. The book analyses through a scientific lens how the COVID event was badly mismanaged in several concurrent fields such as politics, media, bureaucracy and epidemiological science.

“… there's a problem among the civil servants. We don't want to take risks. We don't want to take responsibility. Those are the same civil servants who are in public health in Canada. So essentially, everybody is afraid of their own shadow.”

Thought Farming
Thought Farming addresses issues of politics and culture in Canada from a Prairie perspective. We talk about critical issues in our lives as citizens. These will include questions related to policy and politics, economics and markets, culture and history, technology and faith, and whatever we find in the in-betweens. We will have open and frank discussions and we'll occasionally slay the odd sacred bovine here and there.
The podcast has three feature components:
1. Conversations: a space to discuss events and ideas with leading thinkers
2. Dissections: recordings of recently published op-ed pieces
3. Explorations: a space for quick reactions to leading issues.
