Re-assessing the Mass Murder Allegations

A conversation with Dr. Tom Flanagan

It has been three years since reports surfaced of 215 alleged unmarked graves found in Kamloops, BC, at a former residential school for Aboriginal children. Since then, additional allegations of hidden grave sites have emerged, yet no evidence has been found to substantiate these claims. Tragically, over a hundred churches have been vengefully attacked, fueled by such accusations spread through the media and the tacit (and sometimes active) endorsement of elected officials.

Tom Flanagan's latest book, co-edited with Chris Champion, is 'Grave Error.' This collection of essays critically examine the unproven allegations and fabrications about murdered children and secret mass graves. This conversation explores some of the effects of such false accusations.

Dr. Tom Flanagan is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary and the author, editor, or co-editor of dozens of books on topics ranging from Métis history to game theory.
